Two separate kinds of money

A business pays ProfitRoster $39.99 per month for access to the platform. That is ProfitRoster's revenue.

Commissions are separate. They are funded by the business and belong to the seller once a result is verified and cleared. ProfitRoster is not a bank and does not describe these funds as escrow.

The stages a commission passes through

Submitted — the seller has sent the result and evidence. Under review — the business is checking it. Verified — the business accepted it. Pending clearance — the refund or cancellation window set by the opportunity is running. Available — the clearance period finished. Transfer initiated — Stripe is moving the money. Paid — the seller's connected Stripe account received it.

A result may also be Rejected, Disputed, or Reversed after a refund or chargeback.

Clearance period

Each opportunity sets its own clearance period, defaulting to 14 days. This protects the business against paying a commission on a sale that is later cancelled.

Payout requirements

A seller must complete Stripe's identity and payout onboarding before any commission can be sent. Until Stripe reports that payouts are enabled, no transfer is possible.

Records

Every commission movement is written to a permanent ledger with its amount, state, the related result and, where applicable, the Stripe reference. Balances are calculated on ProfitRoster's servers, never in the browser.
