You are an independent contractor

Sellers on ProfitRoster are independent contractors. ProfitRoster is not your employer, does not supervise your work, sets no hours, and provides no employment benefits, insurance or minimum income.

Businesses that publish opportunities are not your employer either, unless they separately agree to that in writing with you.

Taxes are yours to handle

Commissions are paid gross. No income tax, self-employment tax or other deduction is withheld by ProfitRoster.

You are responsible for reporting your earnings and paying any tax owed where you live and work.

Tax forms

Payouts are processed by Stripe, which collects the tax information it requires during payout setup and may issue tax documents where the law requires it.

Keep your own record of what you earned. Your ProfitRoster earnings page shows every commission, its state and its date.

This is not tax advice

Nothing on ProfitRoster, including the help assistant, is legal, tax or financial advice. Speak to a qualified professional about your own situation.
